The copper base for this piece is an etching taken from a photograph of a drive way. The herring bone pattern leading out to the street is often found in medieval towns lining the drives and walk way areas. A beautiful pattern within itself, it always takes me to the Italian town of Certaldo. This piece entitled “Moving” was created during a period of and physical movement away from my Italian hometown and personal movement towards new life situations.
